We are currently seeking a Director, Global Flight Operations to join our Fleet Group in Houston to develop and maintain the Global Flight Operations procedures, processes and systems and promote safety, service, efficiency and Operations Transformation and Operational Excellence.
Reporting directly to the Vice President, Operations Transformation and Chief Technical Officer, your duties will include but not limited to :
· Matrix Line Management responsibility;
· Ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships with Matrix reports to achieve the transition to ‘best practice’;
· With the Matrix reports, develop and maintain the Global Flight Operations procedures, processes and systems, working within the business to promote safety, service and efficiency;
· Company Authority and Business Process owner for all Flight Operations processes;
· Lead and co-ordinate the Flight Operations Team in each Business Unit to ensure the rapid and complete adoption of standardisation;
· Analyse the gaps within each Business Unit and develop a plan to close the gaps with the Business Unit Flight Operations Team;
· Develop and devise global initiatives that will enhance the Business globally in conjunction with the Flight Operations Team in each Business Unit;
· Develop a comprehensive business case to support Company initiatives;
· Review, seek and promote continuous improvement of operations procedures, processes and systems across the Business Units;
· Lead, from Flight Operations perspective, on evaluating and defining standardisation of aircraft fit, role equipment, pilot equipment, facilities and training;
· Provide support, as required, to Global Teams and Mangers / Directors within the Business;
· Responsible for providing expert guidance to Business Units to develop, standardise and improve global practices;
· Offer technical expertise to the Business on new aircraft types and in consultation with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs);
· Develop and report on metrics to assess standardisation in consultation with Safety and Operations;
· Review and evaluate actual Flight Operations training, procedures, processes and systems across the Business Units;
· Lead on changes to determine standardisation;
· As required, assist Fleet Support and Fleet Management in auditing the business against a set criteria of standardisation for compliance;
· In conjunction with Fleet Support and Fleet Management, liaise with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and other Manufacturers on product developments that may be incorporated within the business to promote safety, service and efficiency;
· Globally Support and advise on current ongoing projects which may currently be being undertaken by the Flight Operations Team or associated with Operations Transformation and Operational Excellence;
· Communicate any new developments or initiatives as required to internal and external stakeholders;
· Participates in recruitment activity associated with the Business Unit Flight Operations Team;
· Accountable for the effective implementation of new or revised Flight Operations procedures, processes, systems and training and utilisation of the Business Units’ Management of Change Process;
· Representing the Company at industry working groups, meetings and conferences.
Qualifications

· Holder of a current ATPL(H);
· Should hold (or have recently held) a Command role;
· Owner or recently held a Training position;
· Working knowledge of Group operations;
· Should hold (or have recently held) an NAA Postholder position;
· Understanding and knowledge of Flight Operations procedures, processes and systems development and monitoring;
· Already created or ability to develop excellent working relationships with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs);
· In-depth knowledge of Suppliers;
· Ability to deliver presentations to all levels of personnel including Board of Directors;
· Capable of interacting with internal and external customers and suppliers;
· Excellent report writing skills and ability to deliver reports within a strict timeframe;
· Ability to undertake critical analysis of operations;
· Flexibility as extensive Global travel is required and often for lengthy periods of time;
· Ability to prioritise workload and meet firm deadlines;
· Must be thorough, detailed and analytical in approach to work with an ability to provide innovative solutions to problems with a degree of flexibility to meet business requirements;
· Excellent written and communication skills;
· Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office.
